Now the car may have dried by the time
2019年6月26日Whether you wash the car regularly or not there is a correct method to carrying out this task and here we are going to look at how to clean and prep your car for protection which we will cover in how to protect your vehicle paintwork. Now there are steps to a proper car wash technique and it is always best to follow a wash with at minimum a spray wax application for protection but preferably a hand polish and wax for the color restore extra shine and protection. Rinse Now at this point you don’t want to touch the paint at all with any sponge or cloth as this will inevitably lead to scratches on the paintwork so steps 1&2 will be performed touch-less, removing the risk of large contaminants scratching anything. This step is best performed with a pressure washer but can be just as easily done with a garden hose, now start at the top with the roof and rinse around and work your way down the car like peeling an orange, try to hold the lance at a 60 degree angle to the paintwork in order to flick the dirt off rather than straight which pushes the dirt into the paint. Snow foam You will need – pressure washer and lance for snow foam car care Before applying snow foam take your all-purpose cleaner and spray around the snow foam inside of the door and boot sills, and the engine bay which may need a slight agitation to properly clean some areas before rinsing down and shutting the bonnet.
Wheel Clean Pick a wheel and clean this wheel just with the wash mitt and work around the car giving them a quick wash and spray with wheel cleaner, if the snow foam from step 3 starts to dry and you haven’t finished the wheels, just stop cleaning the wheels and rinse the car from top to bottom and return to the wheel you were last on and complete the first quick clean of all 4 wheels and rinse clean. Two-Bucket Wash Technique Apart from snow foam car wash this is also an easy process for you to wash your car. Fill one wash bucket with just cold water and the other with warm water two wash buckets with grit guards and car shampoo, it is also recommend putting grit guards in the bottom of both buckets, these guards allow all the grit and contaminants rinsed from the sponge to fall to the bottom of the bucket, but keep the sponge when placed in the bucket away from these contaminants and reducing risk of scratching even further. Try to avoid using the old flat yellow sponges as they trap contaminants and force them against the paint work try to use a microfibers mitt or sponge.
Now the car may have dried by the time you cleaned the wheels fully just give the whole car a rinse from top to bottom and proceed to wash the car using the sponge and shampoo starting from the top and working around and down the car leaving the back until last as it has the most dirt and grime and you don’t want to spread that around the car, once finished rinse and check for any missed bits or still soiled areas and repeat the process if needed. Protection Application If you are using spray wax once you have finished rinsing at the end of step 4 immediately apply the spray wax from bottom to top and allow to settle for 2-3 min’s then rinse from top to bottom including door and boot sills Drying Now you have finished washing the car we need to dry it, you can use microfibers drying towels, chamois dry leather chamois, or synthetic chamois all of which achieve the same result and dry the car and therefore is down to personal preference. Again start from the top and work down and around the car including door and boot sills until the car is dry.
Hand Wax Application Start with the roof and take your applicator and apply wax to it, now to apply it to the car and do so in straight motions which follow the flow of water on that panel so for instance the roof is right to left or left to right when applying from each side, the bonnet if applying straight on is up and down and the sides of the car are applied in up and down motions. Start with the roof then apply to the top half of a door, go back to the roof and buff clean with a microfiber cloth, work around the car doing the same system, apply wax to two panels wipe the first applied, move to the next panel and apply wax, then return to the still waxed panel, this gives the wax time to cure but not making it difficult to remove the wax.
